Then he adds, "If you have any microphones for gigs that is a plus." So I guess he doesn't have his own. But he follows that with "You must have your own gear." Which is nice. So perhaps he is happy with 'just' a guitarist, drummer, keyboardist but fancies something a bit special on bass. Could be a typo, of course.
