I'm really liking this, had my first play earlier today. Some of the other fx are perfect usable for me. So much so, it could see me move on the HX Stomp. Looks like I might need some form of midi interface to sort the presets out via a PC? Can you change the order of the existing presets? Thinking I could have my favs all neatly clumped together.

Wow - that is saying something about how good this pedal is!

Have to admit I'm planning on still having both sitting next to each other on my board for the foreseeable future, there are some things (like parallel routing of effects for clean blend) that are easy to do on the Stomp but not sure could be done on the FI and obviously there are a whole bunch of additional effects available on the Stomp; the FI does what it does incredibly well :)

Most certainly! You are the grand master of seller’s remorse dodging for which I respect and salute you 😁

What exactly do you mean by this? Can you give an example?

So you can have both serial and parallel effects internally on the Stomp. (In contrast only in-series available on the Zoom multis so would need an LS-2 or similar to get a comparable result AND require external dedicated pedals).

Not aware that you can set up different effects patches in parallel on the FI in the same way you can do on the Stomp - but please correct me if I have that wrong!

Ah, no, series only on FI. You can choose the order of the EQ and drive and choose whether dry and/or wet get sent to them.

Yeah, early days but for the amount of effects I actually use, the stomp is a bit of a luxury. Obviously there are other features too and a great piece of kit Might keep both, will see.

Very nice indeed. I might treat my FI by actually putting it in the new smaller enclosure.

Not sure if this is the right place and I may be well of track but can the FI do any of the sample and hold stuff like the SuperEgo or Freeze? I’ve not seen anything like that but thought it worth an ask.

Also, is anyone using one on upright?

I have messed with mine on upright. It is my intention to program it to have a filter with will open progressively the more arco pressure I apply. One day. Maybe.

If higher arco pressure translates to a volume increase then this will be possible.

Actually there’s an idea for a product right there: a bow with tension measuring sensor (like the bridge saddles of midi basses) which would send out that info as a midi cc message which could then be sent to a parameter via the mod matrix.

Just added some new OC-2-type patches, including two which use an expression pedal to gradually morph to a different synth sound. See link in above post.

That's a niche market right there

I think Darren nailed it, Squanchy* would definitely make a better president and be ironically less of a cartoon character.

I am going to be all over those 8ve patches like a bad rash. The problem is that I really like the noise I get when I put my OC2 before the FI.

      Hi,
I have for sale a Future Impact pedal. Happy to ship. It's a killer pedal but unfortunately the project I was intending it for fell apart. Never been gigged, has been used for 15 minutes at home.
      Cheers,
      Arnold

i know this is a question that has been asked a few times but i haven't found answers to my questions yet. For some reason i find myself really wanting a synth to have a play with and possibly to record some random stuff with, this is most likely never going to leave my home studio unless i feel super brave and take it to a band rehearsal.
I have been looking at monophonic analogue synths and in my price bracket there are basically 3 that i'm seeing most and that look like the kind of thing i can work with and don't scare me with too many buttons/dials/sliders.
Korg Monologue,  Arturia microbrute and the original Novation Bass station.
my budget is maximum £130 so the bass station 2 is out unfortunately and the minibrute is probably out too.
i had a play with a minibrute in a shop and really liked the sounds and it seemed pretty easy to use, i want something quite simple so the microbrute with fewer controls really appeals but i've seen a few of the first gen bass stations go for under 100 so this looks very appealing.which would be good as the 130 is really pushing my budget the monologue seems to get plenty of love as well and i'v seen them sell within my budget. i'm happy to wait for the right deal to come along.
has anyone got any experience of these three? i see a lot of love for the mk2 bass station but no mention of the original, should i avoid it for any reason?

i want to stick to an all in one unit with a keyboard as i think the less setup required the more i will use it, space is limited as well so the 25 or so key layout is about right.
if anyone can suggest alternatives that i should be looking out for on the secondhand market that would be great too.

      thanks

      Matt

      Hi,
I am looking at replacing my Aguilar Octamiser as I don’t use it that much and looking to get an octave pedal that’s a bit more adventurous.
The EarthQuaker devices bit commander looked really fun and wondered if anyone had some experiences with it? I wanted to ask how good it is as a stand alone octave pedal especially in the tracking department as that is where I felt the Aguilar wasn’t very good. I also wanted to ask how crazy the synth function can be, to experiment with.
Any experiences with the pedal or any other options for octaves pedals with extra functions would be great.
      Thanks for reading this.
