When I let down pickups then D- string will also be quieter and the volume ratio between G and D stays the same. D- string seems to be in balance with others, but G is louder. chris_b Posted December 2, 2018 Share Posted December 2, 2018 (edited) Seems to me that putting on a new set of strings should come first, then email Sadowsky, then get the bass set up by a good technician. You're probably going to see the same suggestions and ideas that you got when you put this question up on Talkbass.
