502 errors

Question

I'm getting a lot of 502 errors, sometimes non but they're getting more frequent and making browsing the site a pain

I  get loads of those.  Seem to be more when doing a search, then clicking on the threads and then posts, and trying to use the back button to carry on reading the next page

I don't use the search at all, I don't know what to look for :laugh1: I get them clicking on threads or even going to the next page, quite often I give up and look at clothes instead

Yes I see these now and again. I’m checking now. Normally they are server updates but we should be old about those ahead of time.

We're fixing the 502 error now, just so you know it's in hand. It's a problem with the software I think, not our server (not our fault basically!)

Will update when fixed.

If any of you see it again can you copy and paste the link here for me?

I just tried a search in one of the forums, and made liberal use of the back button and changing pages within the search,, and i got no errors. You may have nailed it

It's only very occasionally they occur. I have seen two or three in total and I'm on here all day, so many users won't have seen any at all. We're still working on it though.

Ok please let us know if you see one again, and if you do can you paste the link you were trying to get to here?

Hopefully now fixed!

Cheers

I was posting there about the time this happened, no idea if that might have been an issue?

Maybe the ones and zeros are angry and must be appeased, they seemed most offended by the bump button on my geet ad!

(this one...)

Wow, indeed they do dislike your bump button.  Weird!

@ped can you put it on the support ticket mate?  Busy my end today!

@Vinny it might be worth posting it on guitarchat!

Just  got this error looking at a bass for sale - not sure if  there's a relation to 502 ?

I pressed the back button, then forward again, and the page come up correctly
