It's plec not pick

Recommended Posts

Or it's plectrum, or pick, or flatpick ... you can call it what you like.

'Hey Charlie, I've forgotten mine, can I borrow a pick?'

'Sorry I've only got plectrums.'

'You're a tosser ... just lend me one of your plectra.'

Picking is a way of life, plecking? No, I don't think so 😁

I have certainly never plecked my nose nor used an icepleck for mountain climbing.

I'll accept plecguard though.

A mate of mine says “scratchguard” - riles me, dunno why.

wife also calls the glovebox in a car “the drop down” - really p*sses me off.

If somebody was looking for an argument they've plecked the right topic.

I play with a pick. Plectrum sounds like some snobby Latin word that oiks like me aren't supposed to understand.  And if there's some thing that disturbs my normally placid outlook on life, it is people who insist on using latin plurals. They are obviously unaware that once a loan word has been assimilated into a language, it takes the grammatical forms of the host language.

Profanity filter strikes again

'Derriėre or donkey?' has a nice ring to it.

It would be good name for a game show.
