Sandberg California TM4 Supreme.

Bought new by myself in November last year.

Never gigged, rehearsed or left my home studio.

Currently has a Hipshot drop tuner fitted which i'll have taken off and replaced with the original machine head for the new owner...If you want it left on no problem, you can have the original machine head also.

Strung with D'Addario EXL170's which are 5 months old.

Zero fret.

Pull Switch passive mode.

Split coil switch for MM pick up.

Comes with the Sandberg gig bag supplied from new which is unused.

Really lovely instrument in every way and in superb condition.

Weight is 8.5 pounds - 3.8 kilo's

For the amount of use it gets it's such a waste to have sat there looking pretty!

Possible trades.

The cheapest i can find one is in Musik Productiv in Germany @£1495 so my asking price of £1200 sounds fair and about right considering the condition. They are a lot more in the UK if you can find one

I can deliver within an hour or thereabouts of Worcester....Postage isn't really an option as i don't have anything to ship it in as i used the original box/packing for the sale of my Lakland.

Hmmmm....If somebody has any of the following a trade is possible...

Stingray or Ray34/35, Fender Jazz, Sandberg TT, Lakland DJ4/5 even though i've just sold one i knew i'd regret it.

Active or passive, try me...

I will add the 'Supreme' is exactly that but i can't really justify having it sat around the studio to be played on a track once every 6 weeks or so. I don't gig and i'm not in a band i just work on a solo project.

Cheers

Silly question - is the 8.5lb weight with the X-tender or as stock?

I know they weigh quite a bit.

8.5 pounds with, as photographed with the drop tuner.... Doesn't weigh much at all.

Every Sandberg I've played has been a superb players bass. Wonderfully made, great tonal range, easy to set up. Somebody once commented Lakland made Fenders as they should be made.

So do Sandberg.

This is probably the BEST looker I've seen, gorgeous.

GLWTS John.

Thanks Karl and i agree entirely with that comment......The only other bass iv'e played/owned that comes close to my Sandberg was a Lakland DJ4 which i blindly sold, a decision iv'e regretted since.

Best of luck with your Status.

Cheers

  • John T changed the title to Sandberg California TM4 Supreme. Sale/trades. RETRACTED.

On giving more thought to why i am actually selling the Sandberg it's really for all the wrong reasons.....thinking that i'll replace it for something equally as good for less outlay is pretty pointless. In relative terms i simply won't get an instrument of the same quality without having to shell out much more which really isn't the objective.

I foolishly sold a brilliant Lakland this year that i loved which i still regret and feel i would regret moving the Berg on too also.... So this is more about what i would lose if i did let it go....It's a joy to play and it covers pretty much everything. I am always pleased with what it delivers for my solo projects in the studio.

Thanks for all your offers/trade options.

Sale retracted.

Regards

John
