Screws are part of that 50’s look tho - specially as they were the days before double sided tape 😜

Agreed. If I'm going to fit a guard it will have screws.

Wondering about mint... It's just that I don't have a mint guard...

Ooh yes mint might work nicely. Photoshop one of your pictures to get an idea of how it might work.

Possibly, but if I went for tort it would have to be Spitfire tort, which would cost more than the bass. Most modern tort is essentially unusable.
