I played in a few bands when younger, took a few years off from it then returned to it about 4 years ago. I’m into alternative rock such as Husker Du, Nirvana, early Buffalo Tom, QOTSA, AIC, Royal Blood, Biffy. I own a Fender Precision De Luxe MIM and a Schecter Model T Session. MXR Bass Compressor, Darkglass B7K Ultra, Darkglass Duality, ABY pedal to a POG and Big Muff fuzz. The bass signal goes through a Fender Rumble 500 (with extension cab when required), the upper octave goes through a Laney solid state amp, can’t remember the model but it sounds good for SS and is rock solid. I play in an originals 3 piece alt rock band which recently got a new drummer so we’re building back up to gigging again. I’m not a very technical player but I hope I do what’s required as a bassist/pretend rhythm guitarist and play solidly.
