This is thanks to a customer who ordered all 15 charts to be written, but opted for the half-price option - which meant the completed transcriptions get added to the website for everyone else to access for free! Also new on the site are some classic basslines from Four Tops and Peter Frampton, taking the total to 845 - still the biggest FREE bass transcription site in the World! This has been charted in full, with all the variations of each repeat. Shake - Ian Moss. The Australian rock-blues musician's take on the Sam Cooke song. Double Shot Of My Baby's Love - Swingin' Medallions. The only chart success for the 60s South Carolina band. Jimmy Perkins on bass. 3rd Stone - Gary Gould. Another original bass-featured composition from the US bassist, in a fusion jazz-rock style. All of these have resulted from customers ordering transcriptions and opting for the half-price option, which means their finished chart gets added to the site for everyone else to access for free. The site now has 848 free bass transcriptions and remains the biggest free online resource in the world - to my knowledge anyway! The site grows every time I have to learn new songs for a gig, or when a customer orders a transcription and agrees for it to go on the site. There's not exactly any gigs right now, so the site grows just from the incoming transcription requests. It has become a annual tradition for me to add a bass transcription of a Christmas song on Christmas Day. Wonder what it will be this year? Any suggestions? In between, I'm still knocking out the charts for the site: I have new bass transcriptions for you! Two of these result from orders from http://tomreadbass.co.uk where the customer has agreed to share the finished chart freely via the website in return for a 50% reduction in the price paid. The other two have been transcribed for the band sets on the cruise ship gig I'm currently working on. The "headline" of these is undoubtedly the transcription of the full 8+ minutes of virtuoso double bassist Esperanza Spalding's "Cuerpo y Alma". This is a complete transcription - no repeats, signs or coda - every note, every variation, main groove, improvisations and the bass solo! To access the charts, scroll to the bottom of the webpage and choose the first letter of the title. It is all explained in the smallprint!
