NCD - TKS S112 incoming...

I get to pick up my freshly baked S112 from TKS today... It was available on Friday, but national holidays and a Sunday has meant I have had to wait...

I said "I would like a cab please" on the 27th of April, which means it was 3 weeks dead from first contact to delivery. Not bad for a cab made just for me, considering May is awful/amazing for free days in Scandinavia.

Photos to come, but I had to post something in an attempt to make it through the working day!

Oh man, this is good... I know there are many who sing the praises of tks on here, but I'm over the moon. All the cliched words apply - punchy, articulate, clarity, reactive, rich, sweet... I have read that these 1x12s can be a bit lacking in bass, but at loud home volumes with rounds on a jazz and flats on a P, it sounds mega full. Flipping loud too - I'm running a Eden 260 through it, and it packs a real wallop.

Rear ported, metal grilled front, recessed cable inputs, immaculately finished, very nice, thick soft case. Many happy hours to be had with this - heartily recommended...

Aha, another one 'discovers' these great speakers :)

Big fan here too.

I barely had time to photograph it, never mind upload pictures last night, it's too good... However, now I am at work  I will be sure to take some better composed images at some point soon to show off how well this has been put together, but for today this will have to do.

As you can see, it is bog standard, apart from some extra feet and a rotated badge to allow for portrait and landscape (default) orientation. 12 mm ply, and ceramic magnets in case anyone was wondering. An easy carry (scurry!) from the post office to home!
