bigsmokebass Posted May 22, 2018 Share Posted May 22, 2018 (edited) Hey BC’ers! I was in my local store the other day when I got talking to the owner, an authorised Yamaha dealer. Asked about any new basses coming in, and he said he's expecting some "new BB's" in a few weeks and word from the Yamaha Rep of a new Billy Sheehan “with scalloped frets and in the blue colour” I am aware that these features are standard for the AT3 but this isn’t something he’d be stocking, not for £3000 a pop in his little store and I don’t know if they’d actually revamp a BB174 with a new colour and scalloped frets. i just wondered for those out there, in the know, if they have heard anything similar and if so what? Any sources? I’m quite interested to find out more... considering Yamaha have released news of Ampeg Amps “joining” the Yamaha Guitar Group, this wouldn’t shock me for more bass gear coming our way to keep up the sales of both Basses and Amps.
