I bought from Todobajos, a bass guitar specialist in Madrid.

They shipped to the U.K. very quickly and if I recall correctly for free (or very little if not). They’re on Reverb and it was a very pleasant and easy process.

Bought my Cali s-s from Jezzaboy on here and he's kindly just sent me a copy of the glossy A4 booklet  'A Day at Sandberg'.  Had a proper look this morning and it does them proud.  Great photography, top-quality print job that conveys the feeling of Holger's happy team of skilled craftsmen and women who look completely at home in a high-class production environment.  For me it has definitely reinforced the feel-good factor of owning one of their superb basses.  Should add that I used to produce this kind of promotional stuff for a living so it probably means more to me than most.

I’m very fortunate to have maintained a reasonably robust gigging schedule during the year of the virus.

I live in a part of the US that has remained more open than many other places.
ive managed over 100 gigs over the past year, even with two months completely locked down.

they were not high profile. Touring is still pretty much shut down, but I managed to take many small nightclub and restaurant gigs which kept a roof over my head.

Nice one.  Hopefully some form of return to normality here in the foreseeable future.

Today I tried to remind myself of Teen Town by Jaco Pastorius.

I know I left out a few bars, but I hated playing again because it took me about 15 takes to record anyway, so don’t be too strict :).

I used only humbucker with just a bit of mids added and  old Elixir strings directly into Focusrite.

Hey there!

Finally I made a video that can answer some previously asked questions about the sound of Music Man StingRay and Sandberg California TM4.
Please read all the infos about the video on YouTube and let me know what You think :)

Cheers

I love my TM4 so much I'm getting ready to put in an order for another Sandberg.  P-based this time.

BIG PROBLEMS THOUGH!!!!

Do I get a VT4 or a VM4?

I'd love to hear a 1:1 comparison between having the J or the HB at the bridge but alas...

I prefer the classic look of the VT but tone is more important than anything else.

Can anyone share their experiences in comparing the two?  Pros/Cons of each?

Sandberg are *extremely* rarely seen in any shops in my part of the country so I have to buy sight-unseen...

Thanks!!

Here's a pic of my much-loved TM4:

I would go for the VT. Best of both worlds with the pups and would compliment a TM quite nicely.

Today I made a new video where I compared Sandberg California TM4 II sound with Fender Jazz bass 1977.
I made this video after the other one previously this week, where I compared Sandberg (only in active mode) and Music Man StingRay Special. In first video I wanted to compare sound of humbuckers, and to try to mimic sound of StingRay as close as I can at Sandberg.

However, this one was with different idea, and that was to compare Sandberg in only passive mode and only using single pickups - no humbucker was used although humbucker sound will come much closer to the 1977 Jazz Bass regarding the position of bridge pickup at Fender.

Thank You all for listening, and hope someone will found it helpful :)
