My Spiro Weichs are getting a bit tired and I fancy trying something else as I've clearly forgotten how much money I spent on strings before I settled on the Spiros. I have the Presto Nylonwound on my carved bass and like them a lot, but need something brighter and more focussed for the ply working bass. Rabbie Posted May 14, 2018 Share Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) Never tried, I’m sure they are meant to serve exactly the purpose you describe and they are a great company.... from personal experience, deviations from Spiros ended in returning to Spiros a grand poorer for me. In saying that, I love hearing folks experience with other strings so I’ll keep a keen eye on the thread.
