Ooo, look! I came first!

Precocious, huh..? There's pills for that, or thinking of John Major.
Hope this helps. :|

I had difficulty voting again this month. But not for the usual reasons. In honesty I only liked two of the songs. The rest were technically proficient, not that I’m an authority on such things, far from it. In fact I sometimes feel that a good song is often killed by over complicating and intellectualising it too much. So I voted for the two I liked best and the third song was voted for on its ability to impress. Hope that makes sense.

Just to be clear... One is allowed to not like one, two or indeed all of the entries; voting is not (yet...) mandatory, so listening, then voting for only one, or two, or none at all is fine. Jut sayin'. B|

@Skol303: Is it possible to lock the vote each month when the Fat Lady has sung..? Not sure, but I think I've seen polls closed to future votes somewhere. Just a thought...

Its time to pick your faves from this months bunch of varied , eclectic and marvelous entries, put together for your delectation.

The picture is below and was chosen by last months winner @NickD who provides an introduction to the image.........
"I deliberately looked for something that's completely outside of my usual style, that I don't have a hope in hell of getting something together for,  and that's in contrast to the subjects we've had recently. Also given the vagueness of the image, I think it's wide open to interpretation."

Your song choices are as below
      1 Nicko
      2 Leonard Smalls
      3 Dad 3353

I have decided to set myself a New Years challenge of listening to 1 new album per day (New to me anyway) .
I realised how much of my time I have spent watching TV, which always makes me feel crap, where as when I listen to music I feel great.
Suggestions of must listen to albums are welcome! 🙏

      Hey BC Brothers and Sisters
It truly has been an age since I posted anything on this site - life is good and busy with me - hope all's good with you lot too
I just wanted to share a new tune from a new project that I'm working on with a fantastic singer called Aisling Iris - the band is called Alchemical and features myself on bass/keys/synths, Aisling and some great guest players. We've written an album's worth of stuff and are in the process of mixing an EP for release later this year - and we just out out a single digitally across all the usual platforms. The nice thing is 51m0n (longtime BCer), is on mixing duties and is doing a great job. I'm playing both my Sei basses and quite a bit of fretless on these tunes (just fretless on this one below) - one track has a 40-piece, real, string arrangement...

You can stream or buy the single, 'Long Way Down',  here: https://alchemical.bandcamp.com/
I tend to post a few things on my Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/mikeflynnbass/
Kind of given up on Youtube...
Hope you enjoy and I'll post more music once it's out in the world...
      Cheers all
      Mike
