Hohner B Bass B.

An eBay purchase; I don't need it and could use the space.

It's Korean-made; I gather that these were made between 1994 and 1996.  They seem to be quite uncommon.

It's a passive bolt-on four-string, maple body and neck, rosewood board.
Neck is 34-inch, 24 frets, 40mm wide at the nut.  Truss rod turns happily; the cover is missing but I may well have it somewhere.
Two J-style pickups; VVT controls.  The neck pickup V-control is crackly, but I doubt this is a serious issue.
It sounds pretty good, to me.
Paired strap-buttons under the right hand so that you can lean it against something with minimal risk of it falling over.
Neck is nice to play.  It needs new strings and a clean and setup.
The body's a fetching blue, rather darker and more intense than the first pic shows.  Finish isn't terribly even, but it's as good as any of the Westfields I've played.
It has its share of minor nicks and dents, but nothing unexpected in a bass of this age and certainly nothing bad; I think the worst is a chip in the body by the neck pocket.

It would suit someone looking for a project, a starter, or someone wanting an inexpensive backup.  I think it punches above its weight, personally.

Originally priced at £100, plus carriage.  Offers welcome.
