Only just worked out that I can remove my amp from my Markbass combo to take it to the studio (where they already have a decent cab in place). Only thing is, there is no top to it! Why not fashion something out of thin aluminium or wood, which should be easy enough to do. If that's correct, I wouldn't use the amp without a cover as it might effect the air flow, and hence the cooling. Light aluminium would be perfect for a cover, and easier to cut than steel. Frank. Because products like these are costed down to the last penny. They have to be to make the business viable – manufacturing and selling things is really tough. I never needed to but if I knew they were only three sided I would have had second thoughts. Sold it a long time ago so it doesn't really matter... Never designed to be used outside the cabinet, just removable for service.
