Prince for me is probably the most profound musician that ive ever listened to. This is one of my favourite Prince funkers. Maceo Parker's sax playing is just.. wow.... Crawford13 Posted January 21, 2018 Share Posted January 21, 2018 I agree about Prince’s undeniable talent and creativity, but I don’t think about classical instrumentalists and contemporary musicians in the same way at all. Although I agree that on a technical level many classical instrumentalists are incredible, especially when it comes to dynamics, they are often masters of their instruments as opposed to great musicians. Where as top contemporary musicians tend to have a greater understanding of music. The obvious exception here being classical composers.
