When the D-Bird comes out as a 5 it would be pretty hard to resist.

Yup. It is my dream bass pretty much. I even posted it in the dream bass thread last week.

From their other posts it looks like Dingwall have got an entire other workshop being set up to work on the combustion line basses to try and speed up production. Seems to be a successful area. Glad this is going to be one of those lines rather than just the special order ones. That would be considerably outside of my price range.

Dingwall have slowly changed the few small niggles I had with the NG2 which, in my head, kept me from buying one. I didn’t like the squared pickup shells, I never really liked the old bridge pieces and I always thought the triple pickup config looked the best on almost all of their basses.

This new model could cause me a bit of trouble.

The vintageburst on the D-Bird is amazing; but it's a 6er Combustion I want. Mmm So nice.

Am loving all the new colour finishes they came out with - there's one for NAMM with a white back and coloured top that is just ridiculous. I don't know how much they pay the person who designs and develops the finishes, but they need a raise!

I'm really liking the new Hipshot monorail bridges on those NG3's and the production D-bird. I'm looking forward to the lefty NG-2 and Combustion they'll (finally!) be releasing later this year. Can't wait to get my hands on one. I will reluctantly have to sell some stuff to be able to afford one, but I've been wanting one for years and now they'll finally be here!
