TC Electronics 2x8

Anyone any experience and comment on this model?   I'm not expecting it to outpace a Barefaced Big Baby, but wondered just how good the sound was within reasonable limits.  And reliability.  My first experience of a TC RH250 and BC210 cabs didn't give me huge confidence.  But I need a cheap small viable -for-small-gigs combo.

Yup, I use mine in a Jazz quartet. I wanted something light-weight and small footprint.  I don't want to heave anything more than 30lbs about nowadays. I only use compression so it's spectracomp loaded and I like having a built in tuner.

My previous rigs were a Roland CB100 and a Peavey Max160 head into an Ampeg B115E, so I did feel that I sacrificed a little bit of heft. I up-graded the speakers and posted this:

I tried one late last year and didn't like it so it was sent back, I was comparing it to a Mark bass 801, the mark bass voicing seemed a lot clearer to me and whilst it was 2x8 against 1x8 I preferred the mark bass,

I was initially attracted to the tone print and eq options but I don think the TC 2 x8  speakers do the head any favours, If you could upgrade the drivers you could quite possibly be on a winner

This is all subjective to my tinnitus damaged hearing
