Glueing rubber feet to amp

Hi all,

This may be a weird/paranoid question....but....

Ive just got an Ashdown little giant 1000. (Very impressed by the way so far). However it doesnt come in a sleeve, case or with any feet.

Rubber feet are great for stopping the amp scratching my cab and allowing the unit to keep cool as the bottom of the amp can get warm if pushed.

So, the daft question is - is it ok to glue the rubber feet to the bottom of the amp case? Theres no screw holes in the amp so that rules that out, just checking the glue wouldnt get hot etc?

Yeah, I did the same with an Aguilar Tonehammer, the stock feet weren`t getting enough clearance over the handle on my cab, so glued some bigger ones on, no issues.

You can get rubber feet that have sticky pads ready attached. Just peel the backing paper and stick 'em on. If you search for 'self adhesive rubber feet' on eBay, you'll find stacks of them.

Cheers. I'll try glueing these on them (save me a trip to b and q) and see how it goes. If not i'll get some with adhesive pads on. Thanks.

The other option is buy double sided sticky tape. You can use regular rubber feet then, if  finding self stick rubbers are hard to come by

I found a pack of different sized self adhesive clear rubber feet for things like dvd players etc. The medium sized square ones make perfect thumbrests. I have three of them on my pbass in the three main spots I use, near the neck, over the first pup, between the two pups. They are clear so don't show. Had em on for over a year,and we get 44 degree summers here and they haven't budged. non residue if you do remove them, I tested them.

You may find that a dod of clear silicone will work much better than glue . It wont be effected by heat and if you decide to sell the amp later they will peel off better .

Gorilla glue works well, the proper stuff not the wood one (that’s just PVA).
