I’ve been lucky enough to pick up MiJ Mustang re-issue made around 2001 with Fender case in amazing condition except the previous owner decided to take out the stock pup and put in a Seymour Duncan APB Active EQ P-Pup and a BassMute

Decided from the off I would remove the Mute system (now sold to Mr Beedster, hope it’s all good?)

It just not a Mustang with an active pick up so I tried a passive P then invested in a Nordstrand NM4 ..... sounds awesome! As well as an ivory pearl pickguard and popped on a finger rest to give it a classic look.

My first short scale, plays like a dream, makes you want to play and transition between Long short is easy too

Looking very nice Adee.  I'm a recent convert; currently using a MW Squier Mustang in the band as main bass with a US Sterling Sub as backup......thinking of replacing the current backup with one of those MIM Orange PJ Mustangs.

Leave it red it looks great....plus it's an excuse to buy another Mustang in Daphne Blue ;-)
