neilp Posted November 3, 2017 Share Posted November 3, 2017 If you do go, I promise you you will be astonished and humbled by the skill and musicianship of young bassists these days. The standard of playing has increased hugely from when I was at the Junior RCM all those years ago, and I suspect the standard of playing that got me my Performing Diploma would be nowhere near good enough today. philparker Posted November 3, 2017 Share Posted November 3, 2017 Some of David Heyes' students are just unbelievably good and very technical - he is a world class educator. I recently had a lesson with Simon Garcia at one of David's workshops, he is a great guy and a fantastic player. It should be a good event - I'm certainly humbled by the young musicians today!
