Up for sale is my amazing (and still very new) Overwater "Classic looking" Hybrid Jazz. This bass is beyond amazing in both sound and feel, and if I didn't already have a number one, this would be it!! Due to some major work needed at home, I have to let this one go!!
Built in 2016 and delivered December 2016, this has a few modifications from the regular spec hybrid J that make it an amazing bass to play.
In immaculate condition having only been on a few gigs and used in the studio for recording...it truly even still smells new!!!
A bass at this spec would come in at £3500+ so this really is a great price for an instrument of this calibre...grab it while it's still here!!

Still here for now...here are some answers to questions asked by interested parties for you all -

  • the bass was built in 2016 and I am the only owner
  • the bass is in show room condition...no marks or scratches
  • no mods or repairs
  • yes the neck is straight and yes the truss rod works fine
  • the frets are in great condition
  • the electrics work fine
  • this is s custom hybrid, the bass is essentially an OW hybrid with 24 frets but without the angle on the headstock and designed to look like a more traditional Jazz bass.
  • The sound is fairly growly...check out the YouTube video from the link above.
  • the string width/spacing isn’t adjustable - 18mm
  • the neck finish is gloss but that would be easily addressed if wished.

With some bridges you can adjust the distance between strings, this bridge is not adjustable so the string spacing on this bass is a very comfortable 18mm at the bridge.

Sorry, can you explain this for the unitiated. I'm genuinely interested in the bass...

Thanks

As rmcki has said the bridge string spacing cannot be adjusted, it’s 18mm...however, you can adjust the string height and length as per a regular bridge! This is a fantastically well designed bridge too...very solid!!

So it looks like the buyer has pulled out so this is back up for grabs.

I’ll reduce the price to £1700 cash, buyer collects...I really can’t go any lower and will probably keep it if it doesn’t sell...

Thanks for looking!!
