Here is my new purchase a 1977 Fender P in pretty good condition. I have taken off the pup and bridge covers. It came in an old black case (wood), not a fender one, it has no brand name on it, it's a bit tatty probably around the same year as the bass is it worth keeping or should I chuck it. The bass has gone in to a better quality case.

Nice bass, shame about the case.
I'd put it on your local Freecycle... someone might come along and take it away for nowt.

Don't loose the cover screws.

I've still got the covers for mine but, stupidly, I lost the screws disappeared many decades ago!

I've left them screwed in to the bass for safekeeping
