For sale, owing to me restricting collection to one only, and a hankering for sunburst, is this amazing Limelight P, the bass that finally convinced me of the virtues of a decent P.

Fiesta red medium relic, slightly less reliced on back than a custom shop Pino, with sexy aged tort, slab rosewood board, clay dots, ultra comfy neck with nut a nadge under 40mm (see pic), rolled fingerboard edges, reverse tuners, late 60s/early 70s TV logo. Hand wound pickup with CTS pots, switchcraft jack and, as a result, the best tone control I've had on a P bass, anything from Motown finger thump through to middly punk-era picking.

Comes with good quality gig bag, price is £735 plus UK shipping, bass in situated in Central Scotland handy for all major travel networks if anyone wants to do F2F/pickup. Please feel free to check my feedback built up over a few years on BC. Cheers

Gorgeous! Is the neck shallow, or deep i.e. like a typical older P bass. Or is it more of a Jazz profile?
FuNkShUi of this forum sold a very similar one a couple of years back. It had a slimmer neck than other Limelight P's I've played
Played it, loved it, always regretted not buying it!

I recently owned and subsequently sold a limelight p - not because it wasn't great. Awesome basses with great looks and great neck feel. My P was great for slapping - felt good on the hand and sounded superb. Every time I see another limelight I fancy getting one again!

Thanks for all the comments guys. The neck is probably closer to a B profile as also seen on Nate Mendel P, wee bit thicker than a Jazz (= A profile historically) and slightly deeper but narrower than a 42-44mm C profile P (which I've also played recently) It's a brilliant neck and with the rolled edges and worn back plays amazingly

I tend not to like a neck that's too chunky. I once owned a 70's US P and the neck was wide and deep
I can cope with slightly wider neck, or a slightly deeper one - but not both lol

Oddly enough, some Jazzes (like the 70's RI which I once owned) have a neck that I find too narrow, as they taper so much (never happy eh?)
The twin of this that I played had an awesome neck....

I really, really want this bass..... I'm drooling
