Haters gonna hate whatever, so I say: "Be proud and say that it's part of your technique." I choose to use this tool and I don't give a crap if people don't think I'm a great bassist. They're probably right anyway, but I'm enjoying myself.

Yeah. I didn't get these either until I had to do a line which required tapping and slapping in close succession. You can't mute unlness you have 3 hands. It just knocks out the back harmonics and keeps the sound cleaner. I wouldnt use it in general but it just a neck mute instead of a bridge mute.
