Oh dear! Is this one of those 'real men...' things?

I'm not sure what you mean , but I'll keep this simple for you...It's easy to be a 'keyboard warrior' and say nasty things from the safety of an internet forum , but it's another thing to say those things directly in person. I think many people wouldn't say these things to Liam in real life.

To be fair, there are probably some that don't think Anthony Joshua is much of a fighter... don't think they'd say it to his face, though!
It's not much of a criteria in which to gauge your comments!

Edit: Actually, having thought about it - Anthony Joshua seems quite a nice chap, so you'd probably be quite safe.

Some quite nasty comments about Liam on here , I wonder if you people are brave enough to say these things to him in person...?

He is the biggest keyboard Warrior in the World. I am sure he can handle the return Salvos.

An old colleague of mine came very close to a scrap, with Liam Gallagher at an awards do a few years ago.

Sadly I wasn't there but I'm quite confident that John would have floored the obnoxious little gobsh*te

Why thank you. You're too kind

Isn't it though?

Righto.

What, things like telling him he's an obnoxious arsehole to his face you mean?

Here's the thing (as has been explained at some length by other posters already, but I'll try to keep it simple for you): Liam Gallagher is, IMHO, one of the most singularly unpleasant, obnoxious, self-important arseholes ever to have stalked the face of the earth. If he had any sort of musical talent I still wouldn't like him but I'd let it pass. But he hasn't, and never has had. He's the living embodiment of standing on the shoulders of giants, and pissing on their heads while he's doing so.

Oasis were all about the raw attitude, back in the day. I knew guys that idolised that sort of thing. I watched a Youtube video shot back in the day, called something optimistic like "Liam Gallagher beats up photographers". Basically Liam is prancing around outside a hotel doing that stupid Manc Walk, and occasionally Manc Walks up to a photographer and gives him aggro. Lots of 'come on then!' safe in the knowledge that he has huge big bastards paid handsomely to make sure he comes to no harm. But back in the '90s before ISIS beheading videos and endless online pornography this sort of scene was probably risky and daring; a rock 'n' roller living on the edge! The working man fighting back! Yawn.

Now that Liam is old it is just a bit embarrassing and, with the benefit of hindsight, he seems more like an antisocial eccentric than anything else.

Sums it/him up nicely.

I thought it was a good performance from Liam. He's got what it takes.

+1
In early Oasis he was one of THE best rock singers EVER in terms of sound, looks and attitude! :)
I thought he was pretty good at Glasto but all the decent songs are from his old band so it's a bit of a hopeless task. I've no doubt that he's a terrible twat in person!...

Our old producer worked with Oasis on their far east tour, and said they were more like a street gang than a band. I`m not fussed by Liams behaviour, I loved their earlier stuff, and having been a major Sex Pistols fan in my youth Oasis didn`t seem at all outrageous to me, quite safe and sedate really.

Noel tapped into Britain's nostalgia for proper music like what the Beatles made. Like, exactly what the Beatles made hehe :)

I always thought they were far more Slade than Beatles, but I suppose Slade weren't as cool a band to associate yourself with as The Beatles.

Now, now boys, let's not be making this a matter for the RSPCA.

I liked Oasis for the most part. Again, I'm of that age where they sound tracked nights out, and a not-so-misspent youth, but I've never got the Beatles comparisons. I think it was something perpetuated by them more than the press, but I could play any Oasis album and hand on heart say none of it sounds like the Beatles.

That, Sir... was beautiful.

Brought a tear to my eye, it did.

[/quote] The Beatles is the band Oasis wishes they were, sadly Oasis ripped off many better bands seemingly without realising or capturing what it was that made those bands great in the first place.

The band i am playing with at the moment unfortunately covers an Oasis tune and i have to say for those 3 or 4 minutes i am bored stiff

I've said this before, but like it or hate it (and I suspect most will hate it), they're the singalong band bar none these days. I see it most gigs...

And I'm still with his brother on Liam: “He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.” :D
