Alive by Pearl Jam, off one of my favourite albums and great to play.

So what tunes are other basschatters enjoying playing?

I've been really enjoying playing Alive too, and Once, Black, Porches, Release...
Other than that I've been relaxing and playing some Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Jackson 5 'I want you back' has always been my favourite line to play.

That and 'Too young to die' by Jamiroquai make it into much every practice session,no matter what else I might be trying to learn, purely for the joy of playing them.

Been given two exercise / practice pieces by my instructor and have got a bit hooked on playing them as they're two of my favourite tracks. The first is 'Sunshine of your Love' by Cream and the second is 'Cars' by Gary Newman; having a bit of trouble getting the chorus up to speed, but I'll get there...

I've just listened to the box set that Twigman posted about. Sad Lovers and Giants' five disc compilation;

I'd not heard of them before but they encapsulated the feeling of music in the eighties in a way that went down superbly well. Their later stuff developed comfortably and sat very well with nineties' styles as well.

It's not often that I invest in a band that I don't know. I have no regrets on this purchase.

Tracks off A Certain Fractal light by In Isolation which I need to have learnt for my first gig with them in less than 2 weeks time.

Then I might have time to listen to all the albums I bought recently including the Sad Lovers And Giants boxed set...

Headcrusher by Megadeth. proper gives the wrist a workout

IS that what people do along to Megadeth?
I must say I had my suspicions.

Great tune!

I'm currently polishing up an 18-track set for a dep gig I've got in France in a fortnight. My favourite song on the list is Love Walked In (by Thunder) but the whole set is cracking!

I've been getting up to speed with R. Dean Taylor's "There's a ghost in my house", Frankie Valli's "The night" and Dobie Gray's "Out on the floor". Not particularly taxing but great fun to get in to :).

I'd love to do There's a Ghost in my House. Terrific song.
