But there really is only ONE way to know for sure...... at worst , if they don't suit, you could put em on a six string , after buying two more, of course. While I like a nicely turned knurl, I wouldn't feel happy tuning this way despite the reduction gearing. It's just about okay on the direct pull tuners on a Steinberger bridge but even then I wish sometimes for more positive finger engagement that knurling simply does not give you. It isn't an issue on the Steinys so much because they're fairly stable and less likely to drift off tune. On a headstock however...
