There's the pickup Warwick put on some basses (Dirty Blonde I think) which is like two single coil p/ups stuck together, is that the one? Not sure what they sound like though.

I'm not sure TBH. I'm thinking a pickup with a kind of stingray sound that comes in a traditional single jazz pickup design. It could be active or passive..

ou won't get a Stingray sound from a narrow pickup such as a Jazz. Part of the sound is because of how wide it is (and the position)

Do you mean SimS as fitted in Enfield basses? It's a J/P/H all in one.
