[font=Arial, sans-serif]Further pruning of my bass herd, decided on a one bass policy, retaining my old & trusty keeper Tokai precision, therefore I'm selling this beauty on. [/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]It's an early 2009 version, which I understand differ a bit from current 'Road Worns' with slightly deeper body contours. [/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Fantastic bass, as most will testify who've used one of these...Lovely neck to play, nice resonant lightweight (8.4lb) body. It's in good condition, only slight issue being small amount of glue residue from a pickholder which was installed on reverse of headstock (as shown in photo). As can be seen it's hardly noticeable & I haven't tried to remove it as doing so would probably take off serial no.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]I've had the pots upgraded to decent CTS ones & a PIO tone cap has been installed. Not sure if this bass originally came with 'ash tray' covers, but these are on the bass & are suitably tarnished, keeping with the relic'd aesthetic. Also thumb rest has been added keeping a vintage vibe. Additional Schaller straplocks, and a relic'd Fender neckplate, however original plain neckplate will be included with the bass too.[/font]
[font=Arial, sans-serif]Otherwise, the bass is stock, still with factory original US standard precision pickup, which is a cracking pickup IMHO.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Bass is currently wearing an old set of Sadowsky flats which I want to keep, but I will put a fresh set of nickel roundwounds on prior to selling.[/font][/size]

Any idea if the difference between this and the classic 50's is just the worn nitro finish?
I don't normally go for relic'd basses,but this looks fantastic,especially the photo that makes it look pink!😁

Regarding differences between this & the 'Classic 50s'... I tried two Classics prior to going for this, as I wasn't too sure about the relic thing at the time. Despite the Classic being a fantastic P-Bass (IMHO), there were enough differences to me with the Road Worn to persuade me to get it - nicer neck to play (with rolled edges) & a lighter more resonant body, maybe something to do with nitro finish(?) Few threads on BC on opinions & perceived differences between both these two types FYI:
