BrunoBass Posted April 5, 2017 Share Posted April 5, 2017 A massive influence on me, The Clash, my second favourite band of all time. I still listen to them regularly. Seeing Paul Simenon with that low slung Precision bass stoked my early interest in the instrument. I always thought that their debut album was let down a bit by the production though, despite the energy and the great songs. Strummer walked on a said something like 'all students are pigs' and spat into the audience. It all went rather wrong after that. Retrospectively I like what they did and a lot of punk but, at the time, I was firmly in the 'they can't even play their instruments' camp.
