Phil Jones Bass Buddy and Cab

I'm not gigging and I need some cash so am thinking of downsizing my rig quite drastically.

I have a Bass Buddy and it says it has enough oomph to power a cabinet, has anyone done this?

What size of cabinet do you reckon the wee Buddy could power or any recommendations for cabs to do this?

Ta!

I've used a Bass Buddy through a Barefaced Midget (Gen 1) as a practice rig, and it's excellent.

I doubt it would be much use at a rehearsal.

At a gig, that mini-rig would work in a situation where you were going through the PA but needed some close-up monitor sound, but there are easier ways of achieving that.

I think that's what I'm looking at doing now...probably a Fender Rumble at some point as they seem to get glowing reviews

Thanks for the advice all!

Don't rule out the TC Electronic BG250 combos. These are available with either 1x15, 1x12, 2x10 or 2x8 speakers. I have the 208 or 2x8 and its a fantastic little combo that works great for rehearsing and could easily gig with PA support.

I've seen good things about them too, especially the SpectraComp Tone print settings. Will need to try and find somewhere with both to A/B them
