Hi Karl,

No, I wasn't intending on selling it on to be honest but am thinking of going back to regular scale. Only bought this brand new a couple of weeks ago. if it don't sell then no drama, but if it does want to recoup as much of the money I paid for it. It is a beauty, would go well with the Squier.

Mark.

Hi,

Massively different, much more tonality, especially on the P pick up, but better again with the PJ together, the J on it's own is a touch weak, but the good thing about it is you can swap out the pick ups if need be as they're regular size. The finish on it is far superior to the Squier, I had a mexican bass before and hated it as it was so badly finished, but this is supreme, the neck nearly as smooth as an american one imho. I think the Squier pickups are quite loud, this one is a bit quieter, but without loss of presence. But that's the difference between a £700 bass (original price) and a £200 Squier, much better build and better components. I initially was gonna use both mustangs, one tuned down, one standard, but I'm going back to 32-34 scale basses now. There's a few good video demos, the official fender one is good and probably the closest to what i think it sounds like.
Take a punt, it'd pair up well with the Squier!!

Cheers

Mark

Made in Mexico, but you wouldn't know it to see, best spec on a Mexican I've ever had, maybe all Mexican's are this good now, not sure, had a few years ago and the finish wasn't great, but to be honest this is as good as any fender bass I've ever had, especially the neck which is amazing. Only letting it go cos i want to go back to 32/34 inch neck,

Thanks

Mark

What basses are you moving on btw? any fender/squier?
[/quote]

A yamaha and a fender modern player jazz bass as I'm struggling with regular scale basses. Probably shift the squier vm if I bought this.
