FAQ and Rules - Quick Version!

Recommended Posts

Hi and welcome to the BC Marketplace.

You'll notice that at the top of the forum (under the support tab) there is a page with the full forum and marketplace rules.

If like me you prefer things simplified here are a few common things that crop up from time to time, and things to bear in mind when posting:

1 - You must put a correct trade value or price.

2 - If you have more than one item in your post, put the price of all items in total, or create a separate ad for each.

3 - Don't add items to a thread once posted.

4 - If you could mark your item as sold when it's gone that would help us - simply click 'edit' in your first post, then use full editor, then you can add 'Sold' to the title. A mod will then come and close the thread. Please don't delete the thread, or delete all the text, as the information within is useful for valuing items in the future and helps us in search engines.

5 - Please observe the 36hr bumping rule. Our research shows the casual user looks back over an average of five pages so it's not necessary to be right at the top anyway.

6 - Please don't put £0 as the price then ask for 'offers'.

7 - Please don't post 'what's it worth?' posts. Look on eBay under 'sold' listings, or search here for similar items.

8 - Please note that with immediate effect, Basschat will not accept any adverts selling or otherwise trading or exposing for sale ANY Rickenbacker products. This is the only way we can ensure that no copies of Rickenbacker instruments appear in the marketplace, however unwittingly that may be. Ask John Hall (Rickenbacker CEO) if you have any questions about this.

9 - Listing equipment you don't own (for example a bass owned by a friend) isn't allowed

10 - Commercial sellers: please do not list items for sale on the forum. Refer to the FAQ or send me a message for alternatives.

Any questions then please ask any 'friendly' moderator :)

Cheers
