Funny... I've often seen buskers but i've not yet seen a whole band on the London Underground. So they are different.

Reminds me of my attitude when I was in my late teens / early 20s. I thought it was going to be sillier. Good luck to them, although I suspect at least one of them will be a customer services manager inside of 10 years.

Such as shame about the hair requirement, 'else I could have gone for this. I've got arms and legs (well, I had the latter last time I looked - not easy to see when you're 3 stone overweight!). So, mid-50s, overweight, short (and shrinking) - well, that is an image isn't it? But the hair................damn! Best I can say is that I NEVER get bad hair days. ;)

Not sure about 'squatting' in a Peugeot 206 mind - man needs a bit of comfort at my age...

They missed 'must be aged between 16 and 18, between 5'10" & 6'1", have their own transport and play a Red Fender precision. No time wasters or old people.'

Nothing wrong with knowing what you want from a prospective band member.

I've lost count of the number of musicians I've had to turn down for band positions over the years because they didn't have the right image and in every case because they didn't have the right image they also didn't have a good enough knowledge (if any at all) of the style(s) of music the band was playing.

Where would I keep the Ampeg 8x10?

If I were you, I'd sleep in it.

Brilliant! I fit the bill in every respect. :-) Although I think I'll avoid Harry Styles girlfriend. Or indeed Harry Styles.

I honestly think it's a great ad though. :-)

Another from JMB...

"Creative bass guitarist wanted

I treat those whose only ambition in life is to be in covers bands with complete disdain. 'I want to be in a covers band' translates as 'I want an easy life and I don't have a creative bone in my body'.

It's particularly annoying when, for example, a 17-year-old lad places an ad on here saying he wants to be in a covers band. What a f*cking waste of potential talent! Have you no ambition? Have you no drive?!

I'm a talented (if slightly pretentious, hence my username) singer/songwriter/guitarist and I'm looking for a creative, musical bassist with whom to form a duo. Some knowledge of music theory would be a distinct advantage. Covers-only, lazy [email protected] for whom playing seedy back-street pubs and clubs is the be-all and end-all NEED NOT APPLY!

Absolutely NO root, third and fifth note merchants!!"

Don't think I'll be applying... B)

It doesn't matter. I listened to their stuff a few weeks ago and it's exactly the kind of tight jeaned Strokes crap you'd expect. Avoid.

Not bass related, so a bit off topic. I did like this one though "Feminine singer seeking band" :scratch_one-s_head:
