SICbass Posted September 6, 2016 Share Posted September 6, 2016 I love 'em. I've never owned one, but the fretless acoustic/electric ones with the very 'flat' body shape are ace. They can do a usable double-bass simulation if you pluck over the neck and drop the highs. Abe Labiriel seemed to like his back in the 90s. Paul S Posted September 7, 2016 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I have a Godin LR Baggs acoustibass, a fretted one in black, that I bought fairly cheaply because it is a bit scruffy and the electrics didn't work. Had the electrics sorted now and it is pretty good stuff. I rarely have occasion to use it and mostly it sits in the case but I am loath to sell it as Sod's Law dictates the day I do move it on will be the day I need a semi-acoustic for something.
