My new board, having just received the Future Impact. Today was the first time I've been able to mess about with the software editor, and triggering it via Keyboard, but I have to say - VERY cool. They've knocked it out of the park with this one. Barely even touched the surface of what this unit can do.

MIDI cable for plugging in my keyboard controller:

Underneath you can see I've connected some short MIDI cables from TheGigRig so that I never have to detach it from the board for any reason. I've taped the MIDI in cable that will be used most often to the side of the board so it sits just out of the way but is easily accessible. The MIDI Out cable is only needed for downloading sounds and firmware so isn't used live.

I'm going out to the Alps for the Winter Season with a 3 piece band, so need to make it sound as big as possible. Got 6 days to get all my patches in order and songs learned, and then off I go!

Nice board! Question - Are you using the FI for both keyboard and bass? Both plugged in at once?

Thanks mate! Yeah both at once. Only playing one at a time though...I'm no Geddy Lee!

Aaaaarrgghh! I have a severe case of pedal envy... I want to try that Cog Effects T70 soooooooooo bad. And the Cali76 will also one day be on my board! I best stop looking, lest I recognize some more pedals that I am jonesing for--or will be jonesing for--now... Very nice pedals!

Well, my board is rather pedestrian compared to some of these beauties, but it has gotten some nice upgrades since I last posted in this thread. Most notably a POG-2, a Bass Whammy, and an MXR M-87 Compressor. I am still trying to incorporate a multi-chain setup, a la Royal Blood, while still being able to try out some other stuff too.

PedalTrain Classic 2 (app. 12" x 24") (with tour case)
Donner DP-2 Power Supply (8x9Vx200mA, 2x9Vx500mA, 1x12Vx500mA, 1x18Vx500mA)

Bass Guitar Chain:
TU3(OUT)-Whammy-OC3-BSW-DBBMP-M87-Bass Amp #1 (Ampeg PF-800/SVT-410HEN)

Fake Guitar Chain #1
TU3(BYPASS)-LS2(A)-VoxWah-POG2-PS6-TS9DX-VoiceLive3-Guitar Amp #1 (Vox AC30C2)

Fake Guitar Chain #2
TU3(BYPASS)-LS2(B)-Pitchfork-Guitar Amp #2 (Fender Super 112 or Fender Super Champ X2)

So, turning ON the TU3 will mute the bass chain. And turning ON the LS2 will activate one (or both!) of the guitar chains. And if I want to play a regular guitar, I still plug in through the TU3, and just play through a guitar chain, leaving the octaver(s) off.

So my pedal board has changed a lot this past year.

Its gone from this....

Iv'e added a Chord OC50, Boss Bass BC-1X, DHA VT1 EQ/DI, Zoom MS60B and a Mooer Ensemble Queen. I plan on doing a review of the Boss and DHA once I have used them for a while.

Its still very modest compared to some other pedalboards. However, I am pretty much very happy with it. Only thing left is to get some better patch cables and really tidy it up. Maybe a wireless as well.

My very modest effort...

Modest? Perhaps in the number of pedals, but not in appearance! That's pretty rockin'!

This is my new 'essensials only' board.

TRAPco buffer > markbass compressore > TC polytune > chasebliss warped vinyl > zoom ms60b (bass drive > bass drive > b-man) > DigiTech jam man xt > TRAPco buffer > fender microDI

I'm pretty happy with it for just producing 'my tone', and having my other (not even wired) board for all my fun effects.

Thanks mate. It's a GigRig QuarterMaster 6. I use the 6th loop just as a send to the tuner so it acts like a Mute switch. Although had the idea of using the output of the tuner and and the return on the QM6 like a patch point so I can insert a PT Nano with all my modulation on!

Thanks!
Btw, which MIDI cables are you using? They look nice and compact. Could not find one of those yet.

Chain in the programmable switch (buzz electronic)
- Wonderlove
- OC2
- Tardis (a bass screamer and a overdrive in one pedal. from technofobia )
- Carbon Copy
- Phaser 99
- Levitation (Reverb+)

After the switch:
- Aguilar compressor.

In the current set we have a few tracks that require 4 pedals at the same time and I was done tap dancing. the switch solves that issue very nicely.

Just added up all the prices of the pedals on my board plus the psu (T-rex Fuel-Tank). Ouch!
Sounds seriously tasty though...

I've just added mine up. All new at shop price is worth more than both my basses. But that's what I love about them. You collect them over time so you never notice.

Indeed

I don't even want to add up how much is in this photo!

One new addition to my board, with great thinks to Stingray5 for donating it to the SE Bass Bash raffle - a Joyo Vintage Overdrive pedal.

May not sound exciting but it's a whole voyage of discovery for me. Never really had any interest in overdriven or distorted bass sounds before (and still not really my thing TBH). However, really enjoying how it fills out the wah and funk wah sounds from the Morley Dual Wah. So much so that I'm clearly going to have to upgrade it to a proper bass OD... oh dear, GAS again... I'm usually so GAS resistant...
