As you can see from the many pics I have included the bass has been very well preserved for an instrument which is 32 years old. In facts there are no buckle rashes, no major digs in the paint work, just minor digs and crackles that only add mojo to the instrument, I have taken as many pics of the paintwork as I could, to show the condition but if you need more, please ask.

The machine heads / tuning peg work perfectly, as does the bridge. Also the truss rod works perfectly well and the bass has been setup professionally to have the lowest action with no buzz across the whole neck.

Pics are available on this link, if you need more pics let me know

Bass available for free collection in SE London or shipped at buyer's cost.

I wish this was lighter, I'm having GAS attacks again.

Goodness sake's Alan it's only one ounce over 9lbs or 4 kg, that's 4 bags of sugar mate! do this test, put 4 bags of sugar in a carrier bag and pass your strap though the handles and over your shoulder now tell me how easy is to stand for 1 and half hour on a gig with that weight on your shoulders. :)

Seriously! tsk tsk

Dave_bass5 borrowed it a few times, here he is playing and almost fell asleep in a trance of pleasure with his eyes closed fully enjoying the experience.

This is an amazing bass. As per the very unflattering shot above I did indeed have this for a while. It was a hard decision to give it back.
At the above gig Fran brought this and his Dingwall ABZ along for me to play. It was a lovely experience but for some reason when I strapped the Ibby on i found this bass to be an even better playing experience.
The tone is very solid, probably the best sounding P bass I've ever played, and that's without the J pup on. It produced a tone that didn't have any mud or darkness (compared to the P bass I had brought along), and almost growled like a Jazz bass at times. I didn't use thre bridge pup much but when dialled in it sounded spot on for a PJ, with no loss of definition like my old PJ.

I would have brought this had its not been for my Fender coming along at the same time, but even now I'd say the Ibby sounds a bit more solid.

GLWTS Fran.
