Looks a good deal at £3500...

The only reason I haven't bought this and sold my MK1 fretless, is that I have a fretless 6 on order and the MK1 will be easier to sell to pay for the new build when the time comes.

Of the many things A Wal can be, cheap is not usually one of them.
What is a reasonable price £3000-3500 ?

Before the recent price increase the base price for an MK3 sixer was £5450... With the increase I expect that is now £5650 + extra for specialist facings, matched headstocks etc. hence £3500 for the American Walnut sixer on ebay is pretty good :)

while I am after a mk1 fretless ideally I keep seeing 5 string ones and they look lush...what is the usual scale length on the 5 string Wal?

I believe they are all 34" ... my sixer is and so is my MK1 :)

Thanks matey, I'd be interested to try a 5'er too then at some point, to see how the B holds up as I am usually a 35" scale lover for 5'ers :)
