No lust in Jazz Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 Are there any easy and reversible ways of augmenting the fret markers along the top of the bass neck, so that when the stage lighting changes you don't struggle to see where your hand should be. Paul S Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 I have before now used luminous stickers, used a hole punch to cut out dots, stuck them in the required positions then charged then with a UV light pen. The dots do have a tendency to become unstuck, though - I then used clear nail lacquer to keep them in place. The whole thing is completely reversible. My issue is with a bass that has a Maple neck - A Roscoe its currently retro fitted with gaffa tape fret markers at position 3, 5, 7 etc.. its effective just not elegant. [/quote] I used to do the same but I found that under hot lights they could slide around and they leave a nasty sticky residue that isn't too kind to my neck finish..
