Hi.
I put my 2007 Alleva Coppolo 1600 Limited 5 string up for sale (serial nr. B5 0046). I bought it 4 years ago from BassGallery. Through these years I really thought that I don't never put it up for sale. But never say never :) When I got daughter 1 year and 4 month ago then after that the things are changed :)) and I'm ready to sell that really good instrument.
I wrote to Jimmy Coppolo (in 2011) and asked some information about that instrument and here is the answer: [i]"[size=4][font=Arial]Hi Henno,[/font][/size][/i]
[size=4][font=arial, sans-serif][i][font=Arial]that bass is actually a limited spalted alder that I built January 2007. It's painted in nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It has an African rosewood board which I can't find that wood any more. That bass was real light weight and I recall it sounding great. More than it has 60's pickup spacing. That bass new would cost over $6,000.00 US so I think you got it for a fair price. Congratulations and enjoy it."[/font][/i][/font][/size]
Like they told me from BassGallery then I should be the second owner. It means that when I got the bass then it already had some cosmetic defects like some ding and dots. There is two small chips in the finish on the front of the body (under the first string and between neck and neck pickup). [color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]I have provided photos of this below. That was the reason why I ordered the [/font][/color][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif][color=#282828]pick guard from Jimmy Coppolo. There is another [/color][/font][color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]small chip in the finish on the back of the bass just below where you would rest your right arm. [/font][/color][color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]All in all the bass plays and sounds amazing.[/font][/color]

Thanks Shonks.
Have to mention that this AC 1600 is really good working machine in every situation. I have used it for playing the styles of music from jazz to heavy rock and it sounds very good in every situation :) and it has killer B sting.
Just I have to sell that beauty because my financial situation requires it (and fortunately I have backup bass like Stenback 5).
