I have played both and I can categorically say that the neck on the Thumb is thinner than that of a jazz. Bare with me and I shall get accurate measurements. Also the neck width at the nut is [/size][color=#111111][size=3]1.52 inches, neck thickness at fret 24 is 2.48 inches and 0.83 at fret 1. I hope this answers any questions in regards to measurements.
