***...NEW PART EX ALERT

Would part ex for a good condition Orange Bass Terror or Tonehammer head plus cash my way. ***

This is a great bass that took a long time to track down but I will be sticking with my stingray live so it's on the block.

This is a Factory Special Run of about 300 made by Fender USA in 2013. It is the 1975 model with PEARL blocks instead of black and a 'Aged Natural Finish'.

Also, unlike the new 1974 Reissue, it has the brilliant micro tilt which enables a featherlight action on this bass. Weight is good at 8,8 pounds (4kilos on the nose) and the neck profile is narrow but with enough heft to sit happily in the hand. Tone is thick, deep and thuddy for a jazz.

Comes with case candy and v nice G&G case.

Balance is perfect. It's a lovely 70s style jazz bass but I have to man up and move it on!

Would rather viewing and pick up in Kent or meet in London but will ship if necessary.

Condition is very good with some light pick guard swirling and the odd superficial mark here and there. The bass is in good nick, never gigged. I have installed my usual Schaller strap locks but have the originals.

  • 2 weeks later...

Weight bump for my J that needs a new home.

4 kilos aka 8,8 pounds.

Light, well balanced, and very lovely sounding :) And note the tight neck pocket!
