Normally its just

1 bass (2 if i'll actually use a spare, except the 4 string isn't really a 6 string backup!)
Head
Cab
Speaker cable
20ft instrument cable
10ft instrument cable
really, really short 1/4 to XLR
Zoom B2.1
Ibanez PD7
6 plug extention
2 multivolt adaptors (although they've been replaced by a power brick now)
kettle lead
spare 9V batteries
Condoms
Debit Card

:)

i really should bring fuses, strings and suchlike, but i hardly have room in the bag for my stuff!

Good point. There's this one http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=334 but perhaps a comparison of various boxes too? A what-do-you-use-and-why sort of thing?

depending on the gig and how I'm getting there either:

2 basses in hard cases
2 x strap
Amp
2 x cab
wireless
chorus
tuner
2 x stands
case of tools and spares - leads/strap/strings
stage clothes/makeup
lights
smoke machine
flask of decaf tea (Rock n'Roll!)

or:

1 bass in gigbag
wireless
tuner
spare strings
NE-1
Chorus
lead
strap
stage clothes/makeup
