Show us your acoustic basses

Apologies if there's already one of these threads but I couldn't find it. So, here is a chance to show off your acoustic basses and electro-acoustics. I'll kick off with a custom made bass by the Welsh luthier Tony Revell...

The neck joint is kinda unique with no heel but still absolutely rock solid. It was a particular development which Revell parented for his guitars so I've never seen any other acoustic guitars or basses with a similar arrangement. It looks like it should be unstable but it's been going for 23 years now and still perfect.

This is my bargain-bin Harley Benton 'deko' electro-acoustic, bought from Thomman for about £40.

It's nicer than it has any right to be really, though I might treat it (and me!) to some different strings; the stock ones are a bit, well, 'industrial' is probably the best word I can find...

I love it though, and even more cos it was cheap :-)

A set of D'Addario black nylons will transform it!

This has been posted before, another Harley Benton 'deko' which cost me £37 plus postage shared with other items.

It looks as if there are some flaws on the back - that's the camera flash. There are some lighter regions on the front where the finish hasn't been done properly.

I've got Fender Flats on it, and am happy.

Here's my Harley Benton U-Bass Deco, obtained for £50 including soft case and postage.

Unless you take a very close look at it, there are no flaws to speak of and it plays fine. I just have to be careful with my large fingers..

And a few more Harley Benton's. :)
B30 NT 'Deko', it needed some work but plays alright now.

Kahuna CLU-Bass

Eko BA4

The headstock broke off twice - thanks to my cats on both occasions - fixed it twice. I also made a height adjustable bridge.

I see more shopping on my horizon... :gas: and on the upside, a set of those will just about double it's value! :D

And here is my Faith Neptune Titan (bought for plugged unplugged sessions and because the Revell is a bit to precious to take to gigs!)

Playing at an acoustic night at church...

Sensible idea playing those types of rough houses :-D

Here's mine.
Made by Kif Wood in Cornwall as a left-handler at some unknown time in the past.
Converted to a right hander at sometime.
After acquisition by me I had some work done by local luthier Rob Hodgson at RH Guitars, mainly on the action and the nut.
The immense body means it's one of the few acoustic bass guitars I've played that can produce a decent volume.
