Lung cancer very shortly after being diagnosed, which is a blessing I suppose, it can be a nasty way to go. The Paulman EUB he (along with Paul McNab) made me is an amazing instrument. Last I heard he was working for Toyota in Derby, but like I say not seen him for a long time. He doesn't seem to have a website (old school!) but I found his details on a google search and the comments about him were good. I brought a knackered reissue P Bass neck to him that I stupidly won in an ebay auction. When I say knackered, I mean it was basically unplayable. Dave did a fantastic job on setting it up and it's now playing great. I couldn't recommend him highly enough, and a great bloke to deal with too. I was chatting to him afterwards and he said he also makes custom guitars and basses. I'm defintiely going to get him to do a vintage-correct P bass neck for me soon.
