My two grandmothers died, one in 1957 and one in 1972. I don't recall any porcelain dolls.
Well, yours grandmothers had better taste than my mine.

...and now that you've posted a pic of that oldsmobile I think I may be on the way to recovery to appreciating burgundy mist. Who would have thought.
Again, its all about context. If I can UNDERSTAND the colour, I can love the colour.

That red above is the wrong side of candy apple red. It is not nice.

Depends on the blue. This is just bluegh IMO.
I love the colour - what spoils it for me is the horrible natural wood stripe up the centre.
It would look so much better if it was blue all over IMO.

My preferred blue would be sonic blue as on this 1956 Cadillac Coupe ...

Now that's a blue I could grow to love on a bass.

Thats a 1955/56/57 chevy not a Buick

That will explain why it has a Chevrolet badge on the bonnet and why one should not believe everything one reads on the internet.

Actually I know nothing about cars, I just like the colours. Some people say I know nothing about bass too.

Not a fan of buckeye burl; kind of looks like someone has spilled a banana milkshake into an ashtray

See I would be ok with the buckeye burl on that bass if someone hadn't cut out the bodyshape in the dark while drunk
Funnily enough, that's exactly what Ned Steinberger did and Stuart Spector said, 'Love it!'

A little while later, the head of sales at Warwick said, 'Bass guitar sales have nothing to do with body shape. We're going to copy the worst body shape on the market and I'll prove to you we can still sell millions of basses with it.'

And that's how that happened.

Makes sense. That is borne out by the fact that millions of people still buy telecasters, if you make it ugly enough they will come.

And then peed on it.

Excellent imagery!!

I'm surprised no one quoted this colour - although to be fair it has taken on somewhat of a cult status so is quite sought after - like peach, it was a colour quickly dropped and is thus quite rare - variously referred to as a Heinz condiment colour or akin to used nappy colour!!
I quite like the body shape. And even if you didn't are you really telling me that Warwick do not make worse body shapes?

I played a warwick once, and I was quite impressed with its sound and playing, but sadly, I was way too shallow to get one.
