Here is my beloved MusicMan Stingray 5 from 1989.

From my point of view, the best period for Musicman featuring an absolutely gorgeous bird eye mapple neck, 3 bands equalisation, the legendary alnico pickup and a lovely dark rosewood fingerboard.

The original color was a dark green changed for a beautiful sonic blue (costed £250).

This bass is extremely efficient for any situation, as good in studio or live, it has always make me very happy.

Comes with a hard case.

Based in London Islington, feel free to come over to try it!

I was the one who ordered the painting job.

Here is the guy's website : http://www.turquet.net/
He is not a luthier. He's really specialised only in lacquer finish on wood (exceptional furnitures and instruments).
Really a good job.

It's a custom color : light sonic blue
I thnik it's a PU. The goal was to match Musicman specs.

Originaly, the bass was red and then a crazy canadian made it... green (and a ugly one). Painting job was absolutely necessary.

Regarding the bass itself, it's REALLY a good one. Great sound IMHO.

Thanks a lot! You must be Charles isn't it? ;)

I recently spoke with a nice BC member who is actually the one who brought it back from Canada few years ago. Small world...
He keeps great memories about this bass.

Yes I am indeed the one who brought it back from Canada. She was still green at that time. I can confirm aslo that it is a great stingray and probably the most beautiful neck I have seen.
Too bad I don't have the monye yet, but I will be sooni London. You never know
