molan Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Jimmy Coppolo produces basses that no-one else quite matches for perfect vintage tone and, a big point of difference against an actual vintage instrument, he makes them with 5 strings! This LM5 is his late 70's, Marcus type, bass. I've played it briefly and it sounded just great, one of he best LM's I've heard. Anyone after a really high quality bass that cops a perfect 70's tone but with added benefit of a 5th string and Jimmy's lovely, musical, active boost pre, should try this out Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used it for a very long gig with a recording becoming available soon - sounds great in the band. Nothing I've played is quite like this, Jimmy does a great job in producing that feel and tone jazz bass guys like myself have grown to find so practical.
